Fast Mast Trees is a specialty nursery founded in Johnson County Missouri in 2024. The business began with the production and sale of Chinese chestnut seedlings and grew from an interest in mast-producing trees that provide meaningful value to wildlife and landowners.
Rather than becoming a general-purpose nursery, Fast Mast Trees is being built around a specialized category: productive trees and shrubs that provide nuts, fruit, forage, habitat, or other value on rural land.
Our long-term goal is to combine carefully selected plant material with better information about genetics, growth, mast production, regional adaptation, and real-world field performance. We believe landowners should be able to understand not only what species they are purchasing, but why a particular tree may fit their property and objectives.
Fast Mast Trees serves wildlife managers, hunters, landowners, and increasingly the broader agroforestry and working-lands community.

We help landowners establish productive, long-lasting landscapes with mast-producing trees selected for wildlife value, agroforestry potential, and real-world performance. We aim to pair high-quality plant material with better information so customers can make confident planting decisions based on genetics, site conditions, and their long-term goals.
Our vision
Our vision is to build Fast Mast Trees into a trusted Midwestern source for research-backed genetics, practical field knowledge, and high-performing mast trees for wildlife habitat and working lands. Over time, we want each major species and cultivar we sell to be supported by evolving field reports, photos, video, and documented observations so customers can understand not only what they are planting, but how it actually performs.
